Seekonk Congregational Church is seeking a Music Director (pianist and/or organist). This position is
available to start immediately.

The ideal candidate has experience with church music, possesses exemplary communication skills, works
well with people of all ages and ability levels, and has the motivational skills to lead, shape, and grow the
music ministry. This individual will work closely with the pastor, the Music and Arts committee, and the
church deacons. The position is permanent part-time, 10 hours per week.
Duties to include:
- Play for one Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. Service music includes hymns, postlude, offertory anthem
- and communion music. Just as our congregation is diverse, we want our music to reflect that
- diversity and include traditional hymns and anthems as well as more contemporary music.
- Provide music for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve,
Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday. - Accompany and lead an adult choir with one rehearsal per week for the performance of an offertory
anthem 2-3 Sundays per month. For services that do not include the choir, coordinate music from
the guitar choir, soloists, etc. - Ideal candidate would direct or provide guidance for a guitar choir and a bell choir and would assist
with occasional youth and children’s choirs directed by volunteer laypersons.
