WALKING THE LABYRINTH

February 27 th @ 7PM

in the Hall

~Sponsored by the Deacons and guided by Linda Mace~

When you come into the hall a resource table will be set up near the stage… and participants first  will receive ‘focus’ resources to read and reflect upon before beginning the Labyrinth Walk

This is a personal journey of faith – a time to ‘de-stress’ and be  in  touch with the presence of the Holy as you move to the center of the Labyrinth.  The silent walk is in candlelight and while you are alone with your own thoughts, you are aware of being in community with others as you walk at your own pace...

Couples will all come to the altar at the same time and renew their vows altogether. Following the ceremony there will be refreshments in the Memorial Room

THURSDAY EVENING CANDLELIGHT WORSHIP SERVICE

(in the form of )
A Taize Service

(pronounced Tah- Zay)

February 16, 2012 at 6:30PM
All Welcome!!

~
This 30 minute (approx) service is in candlelight and patterned after a simple service developed in France by Brother Roger who grew up Protestant but very much appreciated the monastic movement and patterned a worship that invites those of all backgrounds – Protestant and Catholic ~ to join as followers of Christ in community – reflecting on scripture, praying and singing!

Alice Gregory will play the keyboard and lead the singing and Rev. Joy and deacons will create the altar space with candles. Come – take 30 minutes to make a quiet space in your lives for God’s presence! Bring a friend or relative… all welcome!
