PERFECT ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE

Take the Church School Perfect Attendance Challenge!  (Preschool – 8th Grade)

 

A special attendance award and surprise will be given to all who have perfect attendance from March 2nd through April 27th (Easter is a freebie!)  Presentation will be during Chapel time on April 27th. 

*Bonus Award:  Bring Offering Envelopes every week of the challenge!

Sunday, March 16th – PALM  SUNDAY

Children begin IN CLASS.  Children’s Choir Sings.  Walk Through Holy Week after both services.  Come “walk through” the events of the last week of Jesus’ life, experiencing scenes from the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and New Life, to name a few.  Don’t miss this unforgettable experience. 

 


 

 

Sunday, March 23rd – EASTER SUNDAY

Start in church with family then walk over to Hall for Easter Centers.  Preschoolers will go to Room # 3 for their activities.  K-5th will Listen & Learn with Tony DeJesus (about Caterpillars, Butterflies and New Life with items to touch and view!)  Then, all will rotate around centers; Experience the Butterfly House! (Walk-thru and see live butterflies!); Create butterfly sun catchers; and decorate a butterfly snack to eat or take home.

Sunday, April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th – REHEARSAL FOR THE THREE TREES

In addition to regular church school activities during the month of April, the children will rehearse and build props for the church school presentation of THE THREE TREES, which will be held on Sunday, May 4th.

 

Sunday, April 20th – Special Coffee Hour sponsored by the Church School children. 


 

Sunday, May 4th – THE THREE TREES

The Tale of the Three Trees is a presentation by the church school children (preschool-8th grade) in the sanctuary for church worship on May 4th at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.  The church school children and choirs, both adult and youth, will retell this warm and unique tale.  The story begins as each tree ponders about what they will grow up to be.  As the story unfolds, each tree's destiny changes slightly and becomes an unexpected connection with Jesus. 

 

 

 

Sunday, May 11th – MOTHER’S DAY CAFÉ

After worship, come to the hall to take part in the annual Mother’s Day Café, sponsored by the 8th graders.

 

 

 

Sunday, May 18th – PENTECOST CELEBRATION

Wear RED in honor of Pentecost.  Special Coffee Hour, “A Time to Honor Teachers”.

 


 

Saturday, May 24th – MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
