GIVING FROM THE HEART CAMPAIGN UPDATE

As you can see by the following chart, we have many very generous people in this church family! Thanks to all of you who have already committed to this campaign to improve our church facilities. The $242,000 we have received already in promises comes from 84 persons/families. These promises allowed us to go out to some of you who gave us some very generous short term loans to allow us to complete some critical projects. A very important part of this is the fact that we have already received nearly $68,000 which is allowing us to pay back some of these loans.

The Long Range Planning Committee and Trustees are working together to identify what project to tackle next. We are both in agreement that we will need to have the money in our banking account before actually starting anything else. Below is a list of projects that the two committees have compiled.

Have you sent in your 3 Year Promise? Our goal is $750,000 in order to complete all of these projects. Remember, all of us giving together will make a difference for the future for both us and our children.

Thus far 84 ‘giving units’ have promised $242,000 -- and to date we have completed 4 of the projects with the cash and loans received from you.

SCC BUILDING PROJECTS

*** GARDINER BUILDING - Insulation & ceiling tile – DONE!!
# SANCTUARY BASEMENT – Identify source of water leak in front & new section, repair water/mildew damage
*** GARDINER BUILDING - New gutters & downspouts – DONE!!
# GARDINER BUILDING - Repair rusted areas of siding
*** REPAVE COUNTY STREET PARKING LOT – DONE!!
# SANCTUARY BASEMENT– Create an overall plan for development for a multi-use area (bathrooms, nursery, classrooms, choir room, youth and mission space)
# GARDINER BUILDING - update heating system with several zones for maximum energy efficiency (being able to heat rooms when needed and not heat the entire building).
# GARDINER BUILDING – cover asbestos floor throughout the building.
# SANCTUARY – lower level rooms
# WALKWAY - Covered walkway from church side entrance (parking lot) to Woodworth Hall
# LIFT (elevator) TO ACCESS LOWER HALL
# GARDINER BUILDING… Bathrooms, ceiling tiles, doors, windows
