Giving from the Heart Campaign |

Giving from the heart, The latest figure for promised gifts towards the Giving from the Heart, Building for our Future campaign is $257,925.69, towards which we have already received $115,000 in actual payments. This is from only 92 individuals or families, and we are VERY grateful for your generosity!! We have already been able to do some very significant things with this money; a new roof and new insulation on the Gardiner Building, repaved the County St. parking lot, and new rainware on the Gardiner building. These were our most critical concerns, but we still have plenty of other projects we would like to start. As we have moved from the fundraising phase of the campaign to the implementation phase, we have also reformed the committee to the Building Committee, with some of the original LRPC members as well as new members. We will still continue to contact those whom we did not reach last fall when this campaign originally kicked off, to allow those members of our church family to become a part of this exciting campaign. Our original goal was to raise $750,000, and we will continue to work towards that target, realizing that the more we can raise, the more wonderful things we can do for our church. The new Building Committee is now in the process of getting estimates and quotes on many of the projects we had identified earlier so we can begin to accomplish some of these wonderful things. As we have mentioned before, we have unanimously decided not to borrow any additional money, so before we can actually start a new project, we need to have the money in the bank. Projects we are presently working on include evaluating options to use the lower part of the sanctuary, looking at options for upgrading the heating system in the Gardiner Building, new energy-efficient windows & doors for this building, and new flooring for this building.
