FROM THE BOARD OF DEACONS
Our thanks to all of you who have participated in our pictorial directory. We
didn't get the 100% that we were looking for, but we had a great turnout. We
are in the final planning stage of putting all of these photos and information
together, after which we will need to get them printed. We will be talking to
you soon about when these directories will be available.
Also, thanks to all of the women who helped put together Women's Sunday as well
as the many of you who participated in the services. As usual, you met our high
expectations for a meaningful, inspirational and fulfilling service.
If you are interested in meeting others in our church community and would also
like to share ideas about various topics, keep your eye on the weekly announcements
because plans are in the making for the four Thursdays in March to have various
communal events. As usual in this church, there will be food. But there will
also be opportunities for Bible study, topical seminars, discussions on how
to cope in this economy, and other interesting ways to learn and share ideas.
Wondering what to do with the children? Bring them with you, because we will
plan activities for them as well.
Finally, remember that if you have any questions about what is going on in the
church, or why things are done this way, how you think we can do it better,
please grab (gently, please) a deacon and talk to us. We are the ones with a
red or sometimes purple stole around our necks, and we are here to serve you.
